Coexist
Under the banner of human rights, ‘Coexist’ encourages intercultural and interfaith dialogue.
On 10 December 2018, on the occasion of a ceremony celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 14 religious communities based in Luxembourg signed the declaration ‘Together for Human Rights’, pledging to strengthen their involvement in defending human rights.
Subsequently, ACAT-Luxembourg created secure meeting spaces: the Interfaith Café for interfaith encounters, the Coexister workshops for young people, and in 2024, the major choral and encounter project ‘Songs of Praise’ in collaboration with the INECC.
In 2025, as part of its ‘Meeting Spaces’ project, ACAT will offer safe spaces for exchange and expression, in particular the ‘Listening’ and ‘Shared Cultures’ groups, aimed at citizens (for example from Ukraine and Russia), in order to promote peaceful coexistence on the basis of human rights.
